This March, Lebanon Picture Frame & Fine Art Gallery sincerely invites you to attend a pulsating jam session between the hand and the brain. Come and experience the frenetic and joyful rhythm unfurl on paper and canvas with this month’s featured artist, Tony Sinkosky. The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, March 6th, from 5 to 8 PM as part of the Art Walk of Downtown Lebanon. Sinkosky’s kaleidoscopic body of work will be on view at the gallery for a limited time through March 28th.
Entrepreneur Tony Sinkosky is based in Manheim, Lancaster County. His career is nearly as eclectic as his art. After graduating from Susquehanna University, he first pursued a career in broadcasting, then ventured into several businesses, including advertising and photography; art is his latest endeavor. Even though his artistic style evokes the graphic lines of Keith Haring and the abstract colors of de Kooning, Sinkosky tries hard not to copy or emulate any particular style consciously. “In a world of voluntary and involuntary conformity, this art is the only thing I can truly call my very own”, remarked Sinkosky. His frenetic approach to pen and acrylics is an artistic movement of its own, fueled with action, freedom and joy. “I don’t take any of it too seriously and I’m not angst-ridden over the creative process; it’s all for fun and pleasure.” The artist attributes his vivacious and somewhat frenzied interpretations of the world to being a child of the 50’s with undiagnosed ADHD, and credits his wife of forty-seven years as the anchor of his life: “she keeps my manic personality on the rails,” Sinkosky said.
