History of Lebanon Picture Frame & Fine Art Gallery
Over twenty years ago, renowned Central PA landscape painter Robert Heilman had a vision. As a working artist, he perceived that there was a need for a creative outlet in the community and the region. He envisioned a gallery space which would allow local artists to exhibit and sell their work, while fostering an environment where artists could exchange ideas and connect with patrons. More importantly, the venue could also serve the local residents by becoming the preeminent establishment for framing, where works of art and other valued possessions could be preserved and treasured by professional custom framers. Heilman was able to realize his vision and opened Lebanon Picture Frame and Fine Art Gallery in December of 1999. One of his initial hires was trained custom framer Melody Vincent, who brought along her invaluable design and management skills to the venture.
Since then, LPF has firmly established itself in the City of Lebanon as the preferred framing business for both artists and local residents alike. It has consistently met the demands of discerning customers with the highest artistic taste through its exemplary framing services. LPF has also become the ultimate showcase for local artists by regularly featuring professional artists as well as undiscovered talent. It is a destination for art appreciation and beloved by the local artistic community of Lebanon and nearby counties.
In 2008, Heilman exited LPF to concentrate solely on painting and sold the business to Vincent; subsequently, Vincent became the sole owner, main driving force and face of LPF. Under Vincent’s direction, LPF not only maintained the high standards and exemplary customer service which long-standing clients came to expect, but expanded its client base by offering the highest quality in custom framing and design in the region.
As the business continued to flourish, LPF welcomed Eric Kirkessner as a new business partner in 2017. Kirkessner, who brought decades of business administration experience from Philadelphia, currently oversees the operational management of LPF. With a capable partner by her side (in business as well as in life), Vincent can now focus on her keen passion for creating and delivering impeccable framing services to the community. LPF continues to provide professional and quality archival custom framing, and its Gallery regularly features exhibitions of local artists, as well as unique handcrafted high design items such as jewelry, paintings, ceramics, sculptures and more.
